The Story Behind The Upgrade
This project was carried out at a family home in Broughty Ferry, where the kitchen had recently been renovated and only one final element remained. The existing back door no longer suited the updated space, and replacing it was an important step in properly finishing the room. As well as completing the look, the family also wanted to improve security and make access to the back garden feel easier and more reliable for everyday use.
For the back door replacement, they chose a Rockdoor Windsor in a white-on-white finish. The clean design works well with the fresh feel of the kitchen, while misted glass helps bring natural light into the space without compromising privacy. A graphite handle added a subtle contrast and a more contemporary finishing touch, helping the new door feel both practical and well considered.
The family already had a Rockdoor at the front of the property, so this new back door created a more consistent feel across the home while delivering the same sense of security and solid performance. Now in place, the new rear door completes the renovation beautifully and gives the kitchen a brighter, more polished connection to the garden.
