The Story Behind The Upgrade
This project in Broughty Ferry centred around one of the busiest parts of the home: the kitchen. In a family household where mornings can be rushed and everyone is moving in different directions, it was important that the space felt warm, practical and comfortable to use every day. The existing back door and window were no longer doing enough to keep the area feeling cosy, especially during colder weather.
To improve both comfort and appearance, we installed a Rockdoor Aspen back door alongside a new VEKA casement window. Both were finished in Anthracite Grey externally, with a white internal finish to help keep the kitchen feeling bright and fresh inside. The stainless steel hardware upgrade added a more premium, solid finish, giving the whole rear entrance a cleaner and more refined look.
Alongside making the kitchen warmer and more inviting, the new installations have also made the back of the house feel much more secure. The result is a practical upgrade that supports busy family life while improving the overall feel of the space. It is a simple change in one area of the home, but one that makes a noticeable difference every day.
